Celebration of Life

A Life of Faith, Love, Integrity and Service

Welcome to the memorial website of Pa. Ako Adeniyi A. Smith—a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, brother, uncle, mentor and faithful follower of Jesus Christ.

This website has been lovingly created by his family to celebrate a life lived with unwavering faith in God, steadfast integrity, genuine love for people, humility, wisdom, and selfless service.

Though he has departed from this earthly life, his legacy continues to live on through the lives he touched, the values he instilled, and the faith he demonstrated every day.

He believed that life should not be directed by circumstances, but by the promises of God. His quiet confidence, unwavering trust in the Lord, and sincere love for family and others remain an enduring testimony to all who knew him.

We invite you to explore his life's journey, share your memories, view photographs and videos, and leave a tribute or prayer as we celebrate a man whose greatest desire was to know God, love people, and glorify Christ through the way he lived.

"Yet God reminds us that our lives are not to be directed by what we can see, but by what He has said."

This was the way he lived. This is the legacy he leaves behind.

Handwritten note from Pa Smith
We make a grave mistake by buying our position or by burying our talents. But, it's fruitless and frustrating to try to be what we are not.

Handwritten note from Pa Smith
No matter what area of life you seem to be in, the first of these is to shoulder the mantle of responsibility for your own life. It's natural to wish that events will sweep you along in the direction you want to go. But it is not a good idea to sit around waiting for things to happen.
Handwritten note from Pa Smith
Plan a budget.

It is vital to draw up a budget and to be absolutely honest with yourself. Make a list of everything on which you spend money.

Anything worth having is worth waiting for.
